CV

In the beginning…

In 2001, I started teaching myself to build websites for fun, with varying levels of success.

Then…

In 2004, I decided to take the plunge and learn how to do it properly, so I started studying for a Diploma in IT Applications at Birkbeck College, University of London.

The subjects covered on the course included;

  • XHTML & CSS coding (by hand and with Dreamweaver)
  • Open Source Databases (MySql)
  • Open Source Web Programming (PHP)
  • Javascript
  • Multimedia (Fireworks & Flash)

Projects and coursework etc. are available to view on my college page.

And then…

In 2006 I graduated from Birkbeck (with a distinction), gave up my old job in the fashion industry and started my web design career in earnest.

Now…

In 2007, in addition to building websites, I started working as a part-time class demonstrator on the IT Applications course at Birkbeck College.

Some of the modules I have demonstrated on:

  • Internet Communications and Websites (XHTML and CSS)
  • Web Authoring (Dreamweaver)
  • JavaScript
  • E-Commerce Applications
